The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed an appeal filed by convict Qaiser Ayub against his death sentence in a case involving the uploading of blasphemous content on social media.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 07 (APP): The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed an appeal filed by convict Qaiser Ayub against his death sentence in a case involving the uploading of blasphemous content on social media.
A bench headed by Justice Hashim Khan Kakar heard the case.
The complainant, Muhammad Saeed, had registered a case against the two accused in Talagang, alleging that they had uploaded blasphemous content on social media.
The co-accused, Amoon, was acquitted for lack of evidence, while Qaiser Ayub was sentenced to death.
Qaiser Ayub had approached the Supreme Court challenging the death sentence.
After hearing the case, the Supreme Court dismissed his appeal against the death sentence.
