Three held for allegedly abducting citizen over installment dispute

New Anarkali police on Wednesday arrested three suspects for allegedly abducting a citizen from the District Courts over a financial installment dispute.

LAHORE, Oct 07 (APP):New Anarkali police on Wednesday arrested three suspects for allegedly abducting a citizen from the District Courts over a financial installment dispute.
According to a spokesperson, police team acted promptly after receiving a complaint that a citizen named Ghulam Abbas had been forcibly taken away. The police team traced the victim to Islampura, safely recovered him, and arrested the three suspects at the scene.
Police said that the suspects had demanded Rs 250,000 from the victim’s brother for his release following a dispute over installment payments. The suspects were shifted to the police station for further investigation.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran warned that harassment under the guise of installment businesses will not be tolerated. He made it clear that strict legal action will be taken against anyone using force to settle financial disputes, recover money, or take the law into their own hands.
