After winning the toss, Bangladesh elected to bat first and posted 139 for five in their allotted 20 overs. Sadia Akter anchored the innings with an unbeaten 33 while Sadia Islam contributed 24, Farjana Easmin Medha 28 and Achena Jannat Emanta 17. Bangladesh also benefited from 14 extras.
Pakistan’s bowlers kept the opposition from running away with the game, with Rozina Akram leading the attack by claiming two wickets for 21 runs in her four-over spell. Maham Nazakat also took two wickets.
Chasing 140 for victory, Pakistan made a determined effort but could manage 126 for seven in their 20 overs, falling 14 runs short of the target.
Komal Khan top-scored for Pakistan with a brisk 36 off 29 balls while Ravail Farhan and Zoofishan Ayyaz both scored 32 runs. Despite their contributions, Pakistan could not maintain the required scoring rate as Bangladesh’s bowlers applied sustained pressure in the closing overs.
Farjana Easmin emerged as the standout performer for Bangladesh, claiming three crucial wickets for just 25 runs in four overs. Her match-winning bowling earned her the “Player of the Match” award. Nishita Akter Nishi also played a key role with the ball, taking two wickets for 28 runs.
