LAHORE, Oct 06 (APP):The Punjab Home Department has suspended Attock District Jail Superintendent Imran Naveed Ashraf over alleged corruption and initiated disciplinary proceedings against him under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (PEEDA) Act, 2006. LAHORE, Oct 06 (APP):The Punjab Home Department has suspended Attock District Jail Superintendent Imran Naveed Ashraf over alleged corruption and initiated disciplinary proceedings against him under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (PEEDA) Act, 2006.
According to a Home Department spokesperson, Additional Superintendent Central Jail Lahore Kashif Ali had been appointed as the new Superintendent District Jail Attock.
The spokesperson said the action was part of the department’s internal accountability mechanism in line with the vision of Punjab chief minister.He said the Punjab Home Department was pursuing a zero-tolerance policy
against corruption, misconduct, inefficiency and violations of rules.
