An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday extended the interim pre-arrest bail of PTI founder’s sisters, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, former federal ministers- Fawad Chaudhry and Asad Umar, and other party leaders until November 6 in six cases related to the May 9 violence.
ATC extends interim bails of Aleema, Uzma, Fawad Chaudhry, other PTI leaders

LAHORE, Oct 06 (APP): An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday extended the interim pre-arrest bail of PTI founder’s sisters, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, former federal ministers- Fawad Chaudhry and Asad Umar, and other party leaders until November 6 in six cases related to the May 9 violence.
ATC Judge Malik Abid Hussain heard the bail petitions, including cases involving the alleged burning of a PML-N office and a container at Kalma Chowk.
Fawad Chaudhry and Asad Umar appeared before the court to mark their attendance.
Former provincial minister Masrat Jamshed Cheema, Jamshed Iqbal Cheema and Hafiz Farhat Abbas also appeared.
The court extended the interim bail of the accused until November 6 and directed their lawyers to complete their arguments on the bail petitions at the next hearing.
A one-day exemption from personal appearance was sought for former senator Azam Swati and Aleema and Uzma Khan. The court granted the exemption and extended their interim bail until November 6.
The court also extended the interim bail of Bilal Ejaz, Rai Hassan Nawaz, Ali Imtiaz Warraich, Muhammad Ahmad Chattha, Muhammad Ashraf Sohna, Rai Murtaza Iqbal and other PTI leaders until the next hearing.
The suspects are facing cases related to the May 9 unrest, including allegations of setting fire to a PML-N office and burning a container at Kalma Chowk, among other incidents.
