IHC seeks reply on appointment of community welfare attaches abroad

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday sought a response from the Establishment Division by October 26, on a petition challenging the appointment of community welfare attaches at Pakistani missions abroad.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 06 (APP): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday sought a response from the Establishment Division by October 26, on a petition challenging the appointment of community welfare attaches at Pakistani missions abroad.
Justice Ayaz Shaukat heard the petition filed by Raza Hassan.
The court extended its earlier order restraining the issuance of notifications for the appointment of community welfare attaches abroad. It also extended until October 26 the order restraining the announcement of results of interviews conducted in August 2026 for the posts.
The court observed that despite its directions, the Establishment Division had failed to submit its response. The court directed the Establishment Division to submit its reply by October 26, warning that if the response was not filed by the next hearing, the Establishment Secretary would have to appear in person.
The court also directed all parties to submit their written replies before the next hearing and adjourned the case until October 26.
