CM’s inspection team conducts surprise visit to DHQ Hospital

SARGODHA, Oct 06 (APP):A Chief Minister’s Inspection Team, headed by Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab Shoaib Mirza, conducted a late-night surprise inspection of Dr Faisal Masood Teaching Hospital (DHQ) on Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry, Additional Deputy Commissioner Municipal Services Chaudhry Akmal and Assistant Commissioner Sargodha Ahmad Sher Gondal were also present.
The inspection team visited various departments and reviewed medical facilities, cleanliness and other administrative arrangements.
During the inspection, two air-conditioners were found out of order. Expressing displeasure over the failure of the concerned staff to report the issue in time, Shoaib Mirza directed that the faulty units be repaired immediately and show-cause notices be issued to the officials responsible.
Taking notice of a shortage of stretchers and the poor condition of some available stretchers, he directed the hospital administration to address the shortage and repair the faulty stretchers without delay.
The Special Assistant warned that negligence in providing medical facilities to patients would not be tolerated. He directed the administration to ensure that all essential facilities remained functional and patients’ problems were addressed promptly.
