MULTAN, Oct 06 (APP):The district administration on Tuesday launched a crackdown on government defaulters at Ghalla Mandi, sealing 114 shops over long-pending rent dues.
The operation was conducted under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Faisal Saleem and was led on the ground by Assistant Commissioner (City) Mukarram Sultan.
According to a spokesperson, the 114 defaulting shopkeepers owed a total of Rs 101,921,862 (Rs 101.92 million) in outstanding government rent.
The administration has issued a final ultimatum to the defaulters to clear their liabilities immediately or face further legal action.
