The government on Monday increased the price of petrol by Rs0.88 per litre while reducing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs1.88, effective October 6.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 05 (APP): The government on Monday increased the price of petrol by Rs0.88 per litre while reducing the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs1.88, effective October 6.
According to a Petroleum Division notification, petrol will now cost Rs393.64 per litre, up from Rs392.76, while HSD will be available at Rs397.76 per litre, down from Rs399.64.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices under the petroleum pricing mechanism approved by the federal government.
The Petroleum Division said the adjustments were made in response to developments in international markets, including changes in Platts rates, premiums and other related costs.
