BAHAWALPUR, Oct 05 (APP): On the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran has emphasized the importance of honoring and respecting teachers and recognizing their pivotal role in society.
He said teachers perform a crucial function in shaping individuals and society, and special attention should be given to their education, training and professional development so that they can effectively fulfill their responsibilities.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran said that an ideal teacher not only imparts knowledge but also nurtures students, inspires them and motivates them to become better individuals. He observed that a leader is one whose actions inspire others to improve themselves, and in this sense, a teacher is essentially a leader.
He described teaching as a noble profession that serves as the foundation for all other professions. Whether a person becomes a craftsman, doctor, nurse, computer engineer, scientist or professional in any other field, the journey begins with the guidance and education provided by teachers.
The Vice Chancellor said that teachers therefore rightly deserve to be regarded as spiritual mentors who play a fundamental role in shaping the educational, moral and spiritual development of individuals.
He paid rich tribute to teachers for their invaluable services and contributions to society and called for greater recognition of their role in building responsible, educated and capable generations.
