LAHORE, Oct 05 (APP):The Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign has been kicked off at Punjab University
with a two-day breast cancer awareness and medical clinic aimed at promoting early detection
and preventive healthcare among women.
The inaugural ceremony was held at PU Al Raazi Hall on Monday, attended by Pro-Vice Chancellor
Prof. Dr. Mahmood Saleem, Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights and Minorities Sonia Ashir,
CEO Pink Ribbon Pakistan Dr. Omer Aadil, Executive Director Saleem Memorial Hospital Asif,
Dr. Sonia Omer, Focal Person for Pink Ribbon Campaign PU, Dean Faculty of Social & Behavioral
Sciences Prof. Dr. Rubeena Zakar, faculty members and a large number of students.
Hundreds of female students, faculty members and university staff visited the camp, where specialist
female doctors provided consultations and guidance on breast health, awareness and early detection.
The initiative aims to enhance awareness among women and encourage timely medical consultation,
early diagnosis and preventive healthcare.
