QUETTA, Oct 05 (APP):Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harnai Mir Arshad Hussain Jamali has paid tribute to teachers on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day, describing them as architects of society who guide the younger generation through knowledge, training, and character-building, laying the foundation for a brighter national future.
Mir Arshad Hussain Jamali said that the position he holds today is the result of the education, guidance, and hard work of his own teachers. Having served as a teacher himself, he noted that he is well aware of the responsibilities, challenges, and importance of this sacred profession.
He emphasized that teachers do not merely impart bookish knowledge but also play a vital role in shaping students’ personalities, instilling moral values, nurturing awareness, and fostering positive thinking. “A good teacher equips students not only with knowledge but also with the courage to face challenges and the wisdom to become responsible citizens,” he remarked.
Mir Arshad Hussain Jamali stressed that respecting teachers is the collective responsibility of society, as doctors, engineers, officers, politicians, journalists, and professionals in every field are the product of a teacher’s dedication and guidance.
The DC saluted teachers across Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan, stating that their invaluable services will always be remembered. “The greatness of teachers deserves our highest respect, for their role is fundamental in the progress of nations and in securing a bright future for the coming generations,” he said.
