DG Social Welfare lauds crucial role of teachers
QUETTA, Oct 05 (APP):Director General of the Social Welfare Department Balochistan Mir Saifullah Khan Khetran on Monday paid tribute to the greatness, services, and pivotal role of teachers in society.
In his message on Teachers’ Day, he said that the education, training, guidance, and hard work of teachers play a fundamental role in the position an individual attains in life.
The DG remarked that a teacher is not merely a conveyor of bookish knowledge but a vital pillar of society who shapes the personalities of the new generation, imparts moral and character training, and fosters positive thinking.
He noted that teachers prepare students for success in various walks of life through their knowledge and experience, while the progress and prosperity of nations are inextricably linked to quality education and excellent training.
He emphasized that it is the collective responsibility of society to accord respect and honor to teachers, as the success of the doctors, engineers, officers, journalists, intellectuals, and professionals serving the country and the nation today is rooted in the hard work and guidance of teachers.
Extending his congratulations to teachers across the country and particularly in Balochistan on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, he saluted their invaluable services.
The DG Social Welfare stated that the Social Welfare Department of Balochistan is actively taking measures for the welfare of the vulnerable, the deserving, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized segments of society, aiming to integrate them as active members of the community and safeguard their rights.
He said that empowering the vulnerable segments of society particularly persons with special needs through education, training, and awareness is a vital component of social development.
Mir Saifullah Khan Khetran remarked that effective measures in both the education and social welfare sectors are essential for building a civilized and progressive society.
He affirmed that the Social Welfare Department of Balochistan would continue to discharge its responsibilities regarding the well-being of the deserving and vulnerable members of society with even greater effectiveness.
