DEOC, Integrated Service Delivery initiative inaugurated in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD, Oct 05 (APP):District Emergency Operation Center (DEOC) and an Integrated Service Delivery initiative have been launched in Hyderabad to improve immunization services and strengthen anti-polio activities in high-risk union councils.
The initiative has been launched with the cooperation of IG-CDC. Sindh Provincial Coordinator Sheheryar Gul Memon, Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zain-ul-Abideen Memon, District Health Officer Dr. Pir Ghulam Hussain, a UNICEF representative and officials of relevant departments attended the inauguration ceremony held at the New Deputy Commissioner Complex, Hyderabad.
According to a handout issued here on Monday, Sheheryar Gul Memon, Zain-ul-Abideen Memon, Dr. Pir Ghulam Hussain and the UNICEF representative jointly inaugurated the initiative. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held on the occasion.
Children were administered polio drops during the ceremony to reaffirm the commitment to protecting children in high-risk areas from the poliovirus and improving immunization coverage.
The participants were informed that the new initiative aimed to coordinate immunization activities in high-risk union councils, strengthen the emergency response system and improve vaccination services through effective coordination among relevant departments and partners.
The participants expressed their resolve to ensure that every eligible child had access to polio vaccination through joint efforts of the district administration, health department, development partners and field teams.
They also emphasized further improving immunization facilities, particularly in vulnerable and high-risk communities.
