PESHAWAR, Oct 05 (APP): An anti-terrorism court (ATC) Peshawar on Monday extended the interim bail of three Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including former provincial minister Kamran Bangash, former Senate candidate Irfan Saleem and PTI leader Amir Chamkani until Tuesday in the May 9 Radio Pakistan attack case.
ATC Judge Wali Muhammad heard the case as the three petitioners appeared before the court along with their counsel.
During the hearing, the counsel for the petitioners said the three leaders had been nominated in the police progress report. He said the petitioners wanted to join the investigation but feared arrest.
The counsel told the court that the accused had been nominated in connection with the May 9 incidents on the basis of forensic and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) reports.
He requested the court to grant interim bail to Kamran Bangash, Irfan Saleem and Amir Chamkani so they could join the investigation.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the court extended the interim bail of all three PTI leaders until Tuesday.
