The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Islamabad has recovered Rs 3.1 million taken from a citizen through online fraud and returned the recovered amount to him.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 05 (APP):The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Islamabad has recovered Rs 3.1 million taken from a citizen through online fraud and returned the recovered amount to him.
An NCCIA official told on Monday that the amount was recovered during action taken by the agency against online fraud.
Following the recovery, the Rs 3.1 million was handed back to the affected citizen, providing him relief in the cyber fraud case.
The official said NCCIA was continuing action against online fraud under its zero-tolerance policy against cybercrime.
He said efforts were being made to protect citizens from online fraud and take action against those involved in such crimes.
