ISLAMABAD, Oct 5 (APP):The National Productivity Organization (NPO) is set to organize a three-day online training programme on “Mastering Supply Chain Management: Lean & Agile Operations Excellence” from October 7 to 9 to equip professionals with modern skills for developing efficient, responsive and resilient supply chain operations.
The programme aims to enhance participants’ understanding of supply chain fundamentals, procurement, logistics, inventory management and operational efficiency, while introducing modern lean and agile approaches to improve organizational performance, according to an NPO document.
The first day will focus on Supply Chain Excellence, covering end-to-end supply chain management, demand and supply integration, procurement, supplier management, logistics and inventory management.
The second day will focus on Lean Operations, with emphasis on waste reduction, process improvement, lean tools and techniques, and an interactive waste-identification exercise.
The final day will cover Agile and Resilient Operations, including agile and resilient supply chains, flexibility and responsiveness, risk management, business continuity, recovery strategies and sustainable supply chain practices.
The training programme is designed for engineers, operations and maintenance professionals, supply chain and procurement specialists, quality professionals, project managers, transport and logistics personnel, and middle and senior management.
