Women’s rights complaints dominate MoHR Helpline 1099 in September

The Ministry of Human Rights’ Helpline 1099 received 12,750 calls and provided 4,079 services during September 2026, with women’s rights-related complaints constituting the largest share of reported cases.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 05 (APP):The Ministry of Human Rights’ Helpline 1099 received 12,750 calls and provided 4,079 services during September 2026, with women’s rights-related complaints constituting the largest share of reported cases.
According to the ministry’s September fact sheet and summary report, women’s rights accounted for 71.1 per cent of the reported cases, followed by government and administrative issues at 11.4 per cent, while child rights cases constituted 7.9 per cent.
The report showed that 81 cases were related to women’s rights, 13 to government/administrative issues, and nine to child rights.
In terms of gender, female and male callers each accounted for 44.7 per cent, while 0.9 per cent of callers identified as transgender and the gender of 9.6 per cent was not specified.
Punjab recorded the highest regional share with 68 cases, followed by Islamabad and Sindh with 13 cases each. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reported 10 cases, Azad Jammu and Kashmir four, Balochistan two, and Gilgit-Baltistan one, while three cases had no region specified.
The Ministry of Human Rights operates Helpline 1099 to provide legal advice, assistance and referrals to citizens facing human rights violations and related issues.
