The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone has warned of strict legal action against individuals creating fake social media pages and accounts using the agency’s name, identity or logo to mislead the public.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 04 (APP):The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone has warned of strict legal action against individuals creating fake social media pages and accounts using the agency’s name, identity or logo to mislead the public.
According to an official told on Sunday, some individuals were allegedly operating fake social media pages and accounts by impersonating the FIA Islamabad Zone and making unauthorized use of its identity.
The FIA Islamabad Zone said anyone found creating fake pages or accounts, misleading citizens, spreading false information or using the FIA’s identity without authorization would face action in accordance with the law.
It advised citizens to follow only the official Facebook page named “FIA Islamabad Zone ICT” for official press releases, important announcements, news and other verified information related to the zone.
The agency cautioned the public not to consider any unofficial or fake page or account operating under the name of FIA Islamabad Zone as an official source.
Citizens were also asked to report any suspicious or fake social media page to the relevant authorities and avoid sharing unverified information.
The FIA Islamabad Zone reiterated that citizens should rely only on its official Facebook page for authentic information and press releases.
