Business community seeks stronger police-chamber coordination under new RPO

FAISALABAD, Oct 02 (APP): The business community has called for closer police-industry coordination in Faisalabad to reinforce security, protect commercial activity and sustain investor confidence as President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) Arif Ehsan Malik welcomed the appointment of new Regional Police Officer (RPO) Inam-ur-Rehman and expressed hope that his leadership would bring further improvements in law & order and protection of life and property across the region.
In a statement here, the FCCI President said that Faisalabad was one of the country’s major industrial, commercial and export hubs, with millions of people directly or indirectly associated with its business and industrial activities.
He said that a secure and peaceful environment was fundamental to the continuity and expansion of economic activity, adding that effective coordination between the police and business community could play a significant role not only in preventing crime but also in resolving civic and business-related issues promptly.
He said that business community expected the newly appointed RPO to take into account Faisalabad’s distinctive industrial and commercial importance and further strengthen institutional communication between the police and business representatives.
He said that regular and meaningful interaction between the law-enforcement authorities and the business community could help identify security-related challenges at grassroots level and facilitate timely action on issues affecting traders, industrialists and other stakeholders.
He assured that FCCI was ready to extend possible cooperation to the police for improving law & order and creating a safer environment for the business community and citizens.
He congratulated Inam-ur-Rehman on assuming responsibilities as RPO Faisalabad Region and expressed his best wishes for his tenure, hoping that his leadership would contribute to further strengthening the policing system and ensuring timely protection and justice for citizens.
Arif Ehsan Malik also invited the new RPO to visit Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry at his earliest convenience to discuss matters of mutual interest and explore avenues for enhanced cooperation between the police and business community.
