Free hepatitis C screening services offered in Capital

The District Health Office Islamabad is providing free hepatitis C screening, diagnosis and treatment services at selected public health facilities under the Prime Minister’s National Programme for the Elimination of Hepatitis C.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 02 (APP): The District Health Office Islamabad is providing free hepatitis C screening, diagnosis and treatment services at selected public health facilities under the Prime Minister’s National Programme for the Elimination of Hepatitis C.
According to official sources, free services are available at Rural Health Centres Tarlai, Bhara Kahu and Sihala, Community Health Centres Rawat and Shah Allah Ditta, and Basic Health Centres Sohan and Golra Sharif.
The District Health Office said free medical consultation, screening and available hepatitis-related services were also being provided at government health facilities across Islamabad.
Citizens have been advised to visit their nearest government health facility for screening and medical consultation, particularly as early detection and timely treatment can help prevent complications associated with hepatitis C.
The health office also urged citizens to adopt preventive measures and seek timely medical advice to protect themselves and their families from hepatitis.
