Pakistan’s Dubai consulate hosts awareness session on Pasban Remittance Rewards Scheme

The Consul General encouraged the Pakistani community in the UAE to use safe and formal banking channels to send remittances so that their beneficiaries in Pakistan could also benefit from the scheme.

DUBAI, Oct 2 (APP): The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai on Friday hosted an awareness session on the newly launched Pasban Remittance Rewards Scheme (PRRS), aimed at encouraging overseas Pakistanis to send remittances through formal banking channels.

The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) UAE Team briefed participants on the scheme, which offers Rs16 billion in annual cash prizes to eligible beneficiaries receiving home remittances through formal channels.

The session also featured the official Pasban awareness video and an interactive question-and-answer session.

Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Hussain Muhammad appreciated NBP’s efforts to create awareness about the initiative and acknowledged the valuable contribution of overseas Pakistanis to the national economy.

He encouraged the Pakistani community in the UAE to use safe and formal banking channels to send remittances so that their beneficiaries in Pakistan could also benefit from the scheme.

The session concluded with the distribution of informational material and a cake-cutting ceremony marking the launch of the scheme.
