Dry, hot weather expected across most parts of country: PMD

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast dry weather for most parts of the country on Friday, with daytime temperatures likely to remain hot in the plain areas.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 01 (APP): Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast dry weather for most parts of the country on Friday, with daytime temperatures likely to remain hot in the plain areas.
In Islamabad and adjoining areas, the weather is expected to remain dry and hot during the daytime.
Most plain districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to experience dry and hot weather, while upper districts may remain partly cloudy during the afternoon.
Most districts of Punjab are expected to remain dry, with hot conditions during the daytime. Sindh is likely to experience dry and hot weather across most districts, while most districts of Balochistan are expected to remain dry and hot during the daytime.
In Kashmir, partly cloudy and dry weather is expected. Gilgit-Baltistan may experience partly cloudy conditions, with light rain and thunderstorms possible at isolated places.
During the past 24 hours, weather remains dry over most parts of the country, while plain areas experience hot conditions.
Dadu, Nokundi and Shaheed Benazirabad record the highest maximum temperature of 40C.
The minimum and maximum temperatures remain: Islamabad 18/33C, Lahore 23/35C, Karachi 26/34C, Peshawar 20/34C, Quetta 15/32C, Gilgit 12/31C, Muzaffarabad 15/36C, Skardu 6/26C, Murree 11/24C, Faisalabad 23/37C, Multan 23/36C, Srinagar 10/29C, Jammu 20/33C, Leh 4/19C, Pulwama 12/31C, Anantnag 11/30C, Shopian 12/31C and Baramulla 11/30C.
