Hajj 2027: Religious Affairs Ministry opens portal for labour quota applications

ISLAMABAD, Oct 01 (APP): The Ministry of Religious Affairs has activated the Hajj portal for receiving applications from institutions and privately registered companies for sponsoring Hajj of their low-income employees under the labour quota for Hajj 2027.
A ministry spokesperson said institutions could sponsor Hajj for eligible employees at their own expense, adding that only low-income employees, industrial workers, miners and other eligible labourers could benefit from the quota.
He said the institutions and companies were required to submit applications online through the Hajj portal only.
The applying company or institution would first create an account on the portal and enter details of the employees concerned, he added.
The spokesperson said Hajj dues could only be deposited from the account of the respective company or institution.
He said applications for the Hajj 2027 labour quota would be accepted until October 10 on a first-come, first-served basis.
