Health Minister reviews cooperation, public health programmes by Global Fund

ISLAMABAD, Oct 01 (APP): Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal on Thursday held a meeting with a delegation of the Global Fund, led by Senior Portfolio Manager Ms L. Azascon Gaveria, to review ongoing cooperation and public health programmes in Pakistan.
The meeting discussed the Global Fund’s support to Pakistan’s health sector, ongoing programmes and various public health initiatives, with particular focus on disease prevention and improving access to healthcare services.
The participants reviewed measures to strengthen the implementation of health programmes, improve treatment facilities and enhance the effectiveness of public health interventions.
The meeting also discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation in the health sector and ensure continued support for initiatives aimed at improving healthcare outcomes.
Syed Mustafa Kamal emphasized the importance of international partnerships in strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare system and said the government was taking measures to provide better and quality health services to the public.
The Global Fund delegation reaffirmed its commitment to continued cooperation in Pakistan’s public health initiatives and healthcare reforms.
