New UAF students familiarised with university environment

The Agrarian Society at University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) organised a welcome event for newly enrolled students to familiarise them with the university environment and provide an opportunity for interaction between new and senior students. 

FAISALABAD, Oct 01 (APP): The Agrarian Society at University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) organised a welcome event for newly enrolled students to familiarise them with the university environment and provide an opportunity for interaction between new and senior students.
The event featured an introductory session in which senior students shared their experiences and welcomed the newcomers to the university community.
The Agrarian Society also briefed the students about its programs and various activities organized at the university to promote student engagement, networking and co-curricular participation.
Dean Agriculture Dr Ghulam Murtaza welcomed the new students and encouraged them to actively participate in academic, sports and co-curricular activities.
He said that university life provides valuable opportunities for learning, personal development and building positive relationships among peers.
Director Student Affairs Dr Waseem Akram explained the rules and regulations applicable to students during their stay at the university.
He urged them to maintain discipline, respect university policies and demonstrate responsible behavior throughout their academic journey.
Chief Hall Warden Dr Humaira Razzaq briefed the students about the hostel facilities available separately for male and female students.
She also highlighted the facilities provided to residents and informed them about the recently introduced online hostel booking service, aimed at making the accommodation process more convenient for students.
The program also included the distribution of certificates among the winners of the UAF Sports Gala in recognition of their performances.
Dr Nadeem Abbas, Dr Fatima Usman and other notables attended the event.
