LAHORE, Sep 30 (APP): Punjab University’s Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (ICET) organised a special lecture on “The Paint Industry: Processes, Products and Practical Applications” to provide students with practical insights into the paint and surface coatings industry.
Director ICET Prof. Dr. Syed Nadir Hussain welcomed distinguished alumnus Engr. Ahmed Asif Mirza, ICET Batch 1964, and highlighted his professional career and contributions to the paint and surface coatings industry.
Speaking to the students, Engr. Ahmed Asif Mirza shared his extensive industrial experience and discussed paint manufacturing, raw materials, products, applications and the role of chemical engineers in the industry. He emphasized the promotion of startups and entrepreneurship through local expertise and innovation.
Engr. Mirza also stressed the importance of social responsibility and giving back to one’s alma mater by sharing knowledge and professional experience with students. Faculty members and students attended the lecture. Later, Prof. Dr. Syed Nadir Hussain presented a souvenir to Engr. Mirza as a gesture of appreciation.
