PU CEES celebrates World Tourism Day with AI Focus
LAHORE, Sep 30 (APP): Punjab University (PU) College of Earth and Environmental Sciences (CEES), Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, organizes a special event to mark World Tourism Day 2026, highlighting the growing role of digital media and artificial intelligence (AI) in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Students participated in creative activities, skits and presentations highlighting the benefits, potential challenges and future prospects of AI in modern tourism and hospitality.
PU faculty members and officers, representatives of the Department of Tourist Services and Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab attended the event and share their views on emerging trends in the sector.
The speakers emphasized that AI and digital technologies are opening new avenues in tourism and hospitality. At the same time, the education and training of young people in modern technologies remain essential for meeting the needs of the industry.
The participants appreciated the students’ efforts and express commitment to continuing activities aimed at promoting modern education, research and practical training in tourism and hospitality.
