A case has been registered against a nominated suspect and two unidentified accomplices for allegedly attacking a Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) checking team and obstructing government officials during an operation against electricity theft in the city.
Mepco checking team comes under attack in Muzaffargarh
MUZAFFARGARH, Sep 30 (APP): A case has been registered against a nominated suspect and two unidentified accomplices for allegedly attacking a Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) checking team and obstructing government officials during an operation against electricity theft in the city.
According to the FIR registered on the complaint of Mepco SDO Akram Gopang, a checking team detected electricity theft through a direct connection (kundi) in Mohalla Qaim Wala.
The FIR stated that suspect Muhammad Imran, along with his accomplices, allegedly attacked and subjected a Mepco official to physical assault when the team detected the illegal electricity connection.
City Police Station registered a case against Muhammad Imran and two unidentified suspects under Sections 506, 353, 186 and 462-I of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of SDO Akram Gopang.
The case was registered over the alleged attack on the Mepco checking team, obstruction of official duties and electricity theft.
