VCCI holds 12th AGM, oath-taking ceremony in Vehari

BUREWALA, Sep 30 (APP): The Vehari Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) held its 12th Annual General Meeting and oath-taking ceremony on September 29.

Founder and outgoing president Hafiz Mahmood Ahmad Shad administered the oath to newly elected President Syed Shiraz Hussain Kazmi, Senior Vice President Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, Vice President Obaidullah and executive members.

Addressing the ceremony, the newly elected office-bearers said the chamber would focus on business development, import and export, digitalisation, facilities at the industrial estate and the proposed chamber building.

The AGM discussed the chamber’s performance, financial affairs, membership, future plans and issues concerning the business community.

Outgoing president Hafiz Mahmood Ahmad Shad also briefed participants on the proposed Onion Dehydration Unit project, saying basic work on the project had been completed during his tenure. He urged the new executive committee and relevant stakeholders to pursue the remaining work.

DGTO-notified focal person/observer Syed Ghulam Hussain also attended the AGM and observed its proceedings.

A large number of chamber members, former office-bearers and business representatives attended the ceremony.
