Governor Kundi vows to raise tribal issues at every forum
PESHAWAR, Sep 29 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Tuesday said he was fully aware of the challenges facing the province and was making every possible effort to promote lasting peace and development, while pledging to act as a strong advocate for the rights of tribal people and all residents of the province.
Addressing a tribal jirga at the Governor House, the Governor said the prevailing security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly in the merged districts, southern districts and Bajaur, required collective efforts and close cooperation to ensure sustainable peace.
He said the tribal jirga had complete freedom to present public issues and grievances openly, assuring participants that he would stand by the tribal people and raise their concerns at every relevant forum.
Governor Kundi stressed that peace, stability and development in the province could only be achieved through unity, mutual respect and dialogue, urging all stakeholders to work together and resolve differences through consultation.
Former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Shaukatullah, tribal elder Haji Khan Marjan Wazir, Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentary Leader in the KP Assembly Ahmad Karim Kundi and other tribal elders also addressed the jirga.
