Minister Azma looks to new film leadership for cinema revival
LAHORE, Sep 29 (APP): Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari Tuesday congratulated Mian Amjad Farzand on his election as Chairman of the Pakistan Film Producers Association and expressed hope for quality, family-oriented films under his leadership.
In her congratulatory message, she also extended best wishes to the newly elected members of the Association’s Executive Committee.
Azma Bokhari said the Pakistan Film Producers Association had played a significant role in promoting the country’s film industry, with its prominent members contributing several major and successful films to Pakistani cinema.
She expressed hope that the new leadership would encourage producers to create high-quality family films and contribute to the sustainable growth of the country’s film industry.
The minister said the Punjab government had taken historic and practical steps to revive the film industry, strengthen its foundations and enable it to stand on its own feet.
She hoped the Pakistan Film Producers Association would play an increasingly effective role in the development and revival of Pakistan’s film industry.
