Inspector General of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police Capt (Retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry on Tuesday held an Orderly Room at the Central Police Office and directed officers to resolve the genuine official and personal issues of police personnel without unnecessary delay.
IGP Sohail holds orderly room, orders quick relief for serving, retired police personnel
ISLAMABAD, Sep 29 (APP): Inspector General of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police Capt (Retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry on Tuesday held an Orderly Room at the Central Police Office and directed officers to resolve the genuine official and personal issues of police personnel without unnecessary delay.
An official told APP that police officers and personnel presented their official and personal matters before the IGP, who heard each case and issued directions to the concerned officers for their early resolution.
Sohail directed that applications and departmental matters should not be kept pending without reason and should be decided according to merit, transparency and rules.
He said timely resolution of the genuine problems of police officers and personnel was an important part of departmental working.
The IGP Sohail said police personnel perform duties day and night to protect the lives and property of citizens, therefore special attention should be given to their welfare and genuine problems.
He also directed senior officers to regularly listen to the problems of their junior officers and personnel and make things easier for them wherever possible under the rules.
Sohail said serving as well as retired police officers could directly meet the IGP Islamabad regarding their departmental matters.
He said the system of providing police officers and personnel direct access to the IGP would continue to ensure their genuine issues were heard and resolved in a timely manner.
