Born in Amritsar in 1936, Naseem Begum made a lasting mark on the Pakistani film industry with her soulful voice and sang hundreds of songs in Urdu and Punjabi.
During the 1965 war, she was among the singers who performed patriotic songs.
Her famous patriotic song, “Aye Raah-e-Haq Ke Shaheedo,” earned particular recognition for boosting the morale of the nation during the war.
