Sindh Governor inaugurates “Karachi Youth Summit 2026”
KARACHI, Sep 29 (APP):Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi has inaugurated “Karachi Youth Summit 2026” at the Karachi Expo Centre, here on Tuesday
While addressing the participants, he emphasized the role of young people in Pakistan’s future.
He said that social media was providing young people with numerous opportunities to learn and develop, urging them to use digital platforms for positive and constructive purposes.
The Sindh Governor said, “Young people should become a source of progress for others, dream big and work hard to turn their dreams into reality.”
Describing the youth as Pakistan’s most valuable assets and a ray of hope for the country’s future, he said that the young people of today would be assuming leadership positions and responsibilities in Pakistan by 2047.
Hashmi said, “Among today’s youth will emerge presidents, prime ministers, governors, chief ministers, scientists, engineers and doctors.”
He said that future entrepreneurs, technology experts and leaders at the national and international levels would also come from the younger generation.
The Governor Hashmi said that the Prime Minister had established a Digital Youth Hub offering scholarships, interest-free loans and employment opportunities for the young people.
He said that the government was working on a 4Es framework for youth development and called on young people to use modern technology, education and skills to contribute to the country’s progress.
The Governor said, “Differences of opinion are part of a democratic society. Disagreement does not mean causing harm to one another.”
While urging the young people to use social media to connect society, spread knowledge, and create opportunities for development.
Referring to Karachi’s Green Line project, the Governor said that the project had been provided to the city under the vision of the then Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
He said that despite the provincial government being different, the federal government had provided the Green Line project for Karachi.
He added that federal funds had been released for the expansion of the Green Line project.
“The coming era belongs to the youth, he said adding that the young people of today will be the architects of Pakistan’s centenary celebrations in 2047,” Hashmi said.
He called for collective efforts for Pakistan’s development without discrimination, saying it was a national responsibility to provide the young people with opportunities in education, skills development, research, entrepreneurship and technology.
The Governor said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s government is a government for the youth.
He said that efforts were being made to utilize the potential of young people and provide them with opportunities for advancement.
He also appreciated Alkhidmat Karachi for bringing young people together on a common platform through the youth summit.
