ISLAMABAD, Sep 29 (APP):Pakistan’s export of goods and services to the United States (US) witnessed an increase of 0.61 per cent during the first two months of the current fiscal year (2026-27) as compared to the exports of the corresponding months of last year, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported.
The overall exports to US were recorded at US $1.118 billion during July-August (2026-27) against exports of US $1.112 billion during July-August (2025-26), SBP data revealed.
On a year-to-year basis, exports to US increased by 5.42 per cent from $496.747 million in August 2025, against the exports of $523.676 million in August 2026.
Meanwhile, on a month-on-month basis, exports to US decreased by 12.01 per cent during August 2026 as compared to the exports of $595.220 million in July 2026, the SBP data revealed.
Overall Pakistan’s exports to other countries witnessed an increase of 3.97 per cent in the first two months, from US $5.237 billion to US $5.445 billion, the SBP data revealed.
On the other hand, the imports from US into the country during the months under review were recorded at US $486.750 million against US $313.363 million last year, showing an increase of 55.33 per cent in July-August (2026-27).
On a year-on-year basis, imports from US increased by 9.34 per cent to US $160.298 million in August 2026, against the imports of US $146.594 million in August 2025.
On a month-on-month basis, the imports from US into the country decreased by 50.89 per cent during August 2026, as compared to the imports of US $326.452 million during July 2026, according to the data.
The overall imports into the country increased by 11.34 per cent, from $10.449 billion to US $11.634 billion, according to the data.
