UNITED NATIONS, Sep 29 (APP):UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has condemned the deadly weekend suicide bombing at a police checkpoint in Dera Ismail Khan, in Khyber Puktoonkhwa, and called for the perpetrators to be held accountable.
In a statement on Monday, read out at the regular noon briefing in New York, his Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric expresses his deepest condolences to the families of those killed and wishes a speedy recovery to all those injured.
“The Secretary-General underscores that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations is unacceptable and reaffirms the solidarity of the United Nations with the people and Government of Pakistan and stresses the need to bring those responsible to justice,” the statement added.
