ISLAMABAD, Sep 28 (APP): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday granted the federal government two weeks to submit an inquiry report regarding the incident at PIMS that claimed 14 lives of children.
Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar heard petitions filed by Nasir Azim, Nasir A. Mujahid and Dr Muhammad Iqbal.
Additional Attorney General Rashid Hafeez and other officials appeared before the court on behalf of the federal government.
During the hearing, Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar observed that replies from the respondents had not yet been submitted.
The Attorney General informed the court that the inquiry was almost complete and that the Prime Minister was required to issue orders in the matter.
The Attorney General sought three weeks’ to submit the inquiry report and report regarding the removal of the Executive Director from his post. The court, however, granted two weeks’ time.
The court directed the respondents to submit para-wise comments by the next hearing and adjourned the case for two weeks.
