ISLAMABAD, Sep 28 (APP): The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Monday issued a power suspension programme for Tuesday on several feeders due to ongoing development works being carried out by the district administration.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, electricity supply will remain suspended from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in areas served by Punjab House, Bari Imam, Pir Sohawa, Saidpur, Fazaia, Service Road, Sohan, Highway, Zia Masjid, Iqbal Town, feeders in Islamabad Circle.
In Rawalpindi Cantt. Circle, the affected feeders include Kalyal, Shahpur, Adiala, Khasala, Hamyoun-I, Dk. Noor, Gulshan Abad, Rose Lane, Adyala Jail, Shehgan, Defence Road, Askari-14, PGHS, and Samar Zar.
IESCO management apologized to its valued consumers for this temporary interruption in electricity supply. The sole purpose of these shutdowns was to facilitate the timely completion of development projects included construction of flyovers, underpasses, installation of new 11kV feeders, road widening and other related development activities. For the convenience of consumers, temporary electricity shutdown schedules were also uploaded on IESCO’s official website, www.iesco.com.pk, and its official social media platforms, including Facebook (IESCO Updates) and Twitter/X (IESCO Official Pk).
