The Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1) has been reopened to all types of traffic in both directions, the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) said on Monday.

ISLAMABAD, Sep 28 (APP): The Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1) has been reopened to all types of traffic in both directions, the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) said on Monday.
According to the NHMP spokesperson, M-14 Motorway from Hakla to Kot Belian and from Isa Khel to Yarik had also been reopened to traffic in both directions.
However, restoration work on the M-14 section between Kot Belian and Isa Khel was still underway, the spokesperson added.
The NHMP spokesperson said that restoration work was also continuing on the loop connecting the M-1 with the Hazara Motorway.
Traffic movement from Islamabad to Abbottabad via M-1 could exit at Burhan Interchange, use the GT Road through Hasan Abdal and rejoin the Hazara Expressway at Jhuri Kas Interchange, the spokesperson said.
The N-5, or GT Road, between Islamabad and Peshawar had also been reopened to all traffic, the spokesperson said.
The NHMP advised motorists to obtain the latest traffic information and guidance before starting their journey by calling the Motorway Police helpline 130 or checking its official social media handles.
