A 56-year-old woman was killed while an eight-year-old girl sustained injuries when the roof of a house collapsed in Liaqat Town of Chak No. 49 NB, here on Sunday.

SARGODHA, Sep 27 (APP): A 56-year-old woman was killed while an eight-year-old girl sustained injuries when the roof of a house collapsed in Liaqat Town of Chak No. 49 NB, here on Sunday.

According to Rescue 1122, its teams reached the site and retrieved the woman and the girl from the debris.

The woman, identified as Zahida, wife of George, was administered CPR by rescuers but could not survive.

The injured girl, Maryam, daughter of Qaiser, was provided first aid at the scene.
