RAWALPINDI, Sep 27 (APP): In a major demonstration of operational readiness, Pakistan Navy’s newly inducted submarine PNS/M HANGOR successfully conducted its maiden live weapon firing in the North Arabian Sea, accurately engaging a designated long-range target with an anti-ship cruise missile.
Admiral Naveed Ashraf NI, NI(M), T Bt, Chief of the Naval Staff, witnessed the firing, praising the submarine’s combat power and emphasizing the strategic importance of enhancing subsurface capabilities for credible maritime deterrence, said a news release issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The milestone underscores the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maintaining a modern, combat-ready force to safeguard national maritime frontiers and regional peace.
