Dera Ismail Khan, Sep 26 (APP): A Rescue 1122 ambulance came under fire while transporting the bodies of victims of the Darazinda blast on Saturday, leaving one rescuer martyred and two others critically injured.
According to officials, the Rescue 1122 ambulance was shifting the bodies of those killed in the blast when it came under attack in the Darazinda area.
Twelve people were martyred and 35 others injured in a blast that targeted the Aman Mela joint checkpost in Darazinda.
The Rescue 1122 team provided immediate medical assistance to the injured rescuers and shifted them to a hospital for treatment.
The bodies of the blast victims were also transported, while rescue and relief operations continued in the area, the spokesperson said.
The injured rescuers shifted to the DHQ Teaching Hospital for further medical treatment.
