The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested six suspects and seized 214.22 kg of narcotics worth over Rs27.3 million during eight operations in different parts of the country.

RAWALPINDI, Sep 25 (APP): The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested six suspects and seized 214.22 kg of narcotics worth over Rs27.3 million during eight operations in different parts of the country.
According to an ANF spokesperson, two suspects travelling to Bahrain were arrested at Peshawar Airport with 1.5 kg of methamphetamine (ice).
At Lahore Airport, 80 heroin-filled capsules weighing 460 grams were recovered from the abdomen of a passenger travelling to Jeddah, leading to his arrest.
In another operation at Lahore Airport, 1.75 kg of weed was recovered from a carton in a parcel arriving from the United States.
At a courier office in Islamabad, 210 grams of cannabinoid was recovered from clothes concealed inside a parcel destined for the United Arab Emirates.
During domestic drug interdiction operations, 8.4 kg of hashish was recovered from a motorcyclist near Baleli Check Post, District Quetta, leading to his arrest.
Near Faisalabad Road, Sheikhupura, a motorcycle rider was arrested with 5 kg of hashish and 1 kg of opium.
Another 900 grams of hashish was recovered from a vehicle near University Road, Peshawar, and a suspect was apprehended.
Meanwhile, 195 kg of opium was recovered near Aghberg, District Quetta.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997, and further investigation was underway.
