The election process of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) has entered its final stage after the FCCI Election Commission declared the nomination papers of candidates for president, senior vice president and vice president valid, paving the way for their unopposed election.
FCCI top office-bearers set for unopposed election
FAISALABAD, Sep 25 (APP): The election process of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) has entered its final stage after the FCCI Election Commission declared the nomination papers of candidates for president, senior vice president and vice president valid, paving the way for their unopposed election.
Members of the FCCI Election Commission — Muzammil Sultan, Chaudhry Muhammad Nawaz and Atif Munir Sheikh — scrutinised the nomination papers submitted for the three key offices and found them in order.
Following the scrutiny, Arif Ehsan Malik of M/s Al-Ghani International was unofficially declared elected unopposed as FCCI president, Mian Muhammad Saeed of M/s New Prime Electric Cables as senior vice president, and Muhammad Yaseen of M/s Legacy Textiles as vice president.
The Election Commission had earlier scrutinised nomination papers submitted for the two reserved seats for women and found both valid. As only two candidates had filed nomination papers against the two seats, Kanwal Saeed of M/s Ideal Rice Industries (Pvt) Ltd and Tehmina Yasmeen of M/s Tahani Studio were also declared elected unopposed, subject to completion of the formal election process.
The FCCI Election Commission said the formal and final announcement of the newly elected office-bearers, executive members and women representatives would be made at the FCCI Annual General Meeting scheduled for September 30, 2026.
