PHA promotes healthy activities through sports facilities
RAWALPINDI, Sep 25 (APP): The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi (PHA) is taking various initiatives to provide citizens with better sports and recreational facilities besides maintaining the city’s green, clean and attractive environment.
The Padel Tennis Court established under the Sixth Road Flyover on Murree Road is providing citizens, particularly young people and women, with an opportunity to engage in healthy and constructive activities.
The facility has been developed in line with the Punjab Government’s vision of promoting sports and encouraging healthy recreational activities among citizens.
Students from various colleges and universities regularly visit the Padel Tennis Court and benefit from the sports facility.
Managing Director PHA Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said that providing citizens with opportunities for healthy and positive activities was among the agency’s priorities along with beautifying the city.
He said sports activities, particularly for young people, played an important role in promoting physical fitness, mental freshness and a healthy lifestyle.
He added that the agency was also focusing on cleanliness and maintenance of the surroundings of the Padel Tennis Court to provide citizens with a clean and pleasant environment.
Ahmed Hassan Ranjha urged citizens to make responsible use of public sports facilities and play their role in maintaining cleanliness and the beauty of public spaces.
The PHA, he said, would continue efforts to make public spaces across the city greener, cleaner, more attractive and functional for citizens.
