The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Friday issued a power suspension programme for Saturday on several feeders due to ongoing development works being carried out by the district administration.

ISLAMABAD, Sep 25 (APP): The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Friday issued a power suspension programme for Saturday on several feeders due to ongoing development works being carried out by the district administration.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, electricity supply will remain suspended from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the areas served by Service Road, Sohan, Highway, Zia Masjid and Iqbal Town feeders in Islamabad Circle.
In Rawalpindi City Circle, the Fazaia feeder will also remain closed during the same period.
In Jhelum Circle, the affected feeders include Ward No. 8, Hayat Sir Road, Gujjar Khan City, Scheme-I, Matwa, Kangar, Kontorilla, Mandra, New Mandra, Hamid Jhangi and LTC.
Meanwhile, in GSO Circle, electricity supply will remain suspended from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the 220kV University Grid Station, Barakahu, Islamabad.
IESCO management apologized to its valued consumers for this temporary interruption in electricity supply. The sole purpose of these shutdowns is to facilitate the timely completion of development projects being undertaken by the district administration.
