Pakistan national football team holds training session for FIFA ASEAN Cup

ISLAMABAD, Sep 24 (APP):The Pakistan national football team held its second training session for the FIFA ASEAN Cup on Thursday.

With the foreign-based players arriving on Wednesday night, 22 of the 23-man squad has now assembled in Bandung, Indonesia ahead of the opening fixture against Thailand on Saturday, said a press release.

Meanwhile, defender Easah Suliman is due to link up with the squad on Friday, with his arrival having been delayed due to illness.

Head coach Nolberto Solano will lead the Shaheens as they compete in the inaugural FIFA ASEAN Cup, which brings together teams from across the ASEAN region.

The 23-member squad includes Yousuf Butt, Hassan Ali, Saqib Hanif, Abdullah Shah, Abdul Rahman, Ali Khan, Ali Agha, Hayyan Khattak, Ali Uzair, Alamgir Ghazi, Ali Raza, Abdul Samad Arshad, Kaleem Ullah, Shayek Dost, Abdullah Iqbal, Easah Suliman, Mohib Ullah, Mamoon Khan, Mohd Fazal, Haris Zeb, Umer Nawaz, Abdul Samad and Ali Khan.

The FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 will provide Pakistan with an opportunity to compete on a new international platform and further strengthen its preparations against teams from the ASEAN region.
