A paperless environment has been introduced in the courtroom of Chief Justice Islamabad High Court (IHC), Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, with screens installed in Courtroom No. 1 and the use of digital records alongside online hearings.
IHC CJ’s courtroom converted into E-Court
ISLAMABAD, Sep 24 (APP): A paperless environment has been introduced in the courtroom of Chief Justice Islamabad High Court (IHC), Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, with screens installed in Courtroom No. 1 and the use of digital records alongside online hearings.
The courtroom of Chief Justice, Sarfraz Dogar has been designated as an e-court, where digital and online proceedings have commenced.
Additional Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General and Prosecutor General were present in the courtroom during the digital and e-court proceedings.
Islamabad Prosecutor General, Manzoor Jajja said the use of modern technology would help make judicial proceedings more transparent and expedite the disposal of cases.
He said lawyers and litigants were being provided facilities for online access to judicial information.
Lawyers in Islamabad welcomed the initiative, saying promotion of technology was an important step towards bringing the administration of justice in line with modern requirements.
