Naqvi visits city, orders removal of encroachments launch beautification plan
ISLAMABAD, Sep 24 (APP):Federal Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi visited different areas of the federal capital and reviewed the overall situation of the city, civic facilities, and arrangements related to cleanliness and beautification.
During the visit, the minister inspected schools, hotels, and other public places and issued instructions to the relevant authorities for immediate action on various matters.
He examined ongoing arrangements for cleanliness and reviewed steps being taken to improve the urban environment.
He directed the concerned officials to ensure proper implementation of measures aimed at improving services and maintaining public spaces.
The minister ordered the immediate removal of all forms of encroachments across Islamabad. He stated that no type of encroachment would be tolerated in the city and directed authorities to remove all illegal occupations without discrimination and without delay.
Mohsin Naqvi also instructed officials to immediately begin a city-wide road beautification plan. He directed authorities to focus on improving the appearance of roads, green belts, medians, and other vacant spaces throughout the capital.
The interior minister further ordered large-scale plantation on vacant land and directed officials to enhance greenery across the city. He said efforts should be made to further improve Islamabad’s green landscape.
Mohsin Naqvi said Islamabad should reflect its status as the capital city in every respect. He stated that Islamabad is the capital of Pakistan and that its cleanliness, appearance, and civic facilities should be maintained in a manner befitting the country’s capital.
The minister also directed authorities to give special attention to beautification projects and accelerate practical measures aimed at improving civic facilities for residents.
Islamabad Chief Commissioner and other relevant officials accompanied Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi during the visit.
